In Lotus Academy, we offer a rare opportunity to
experience the Buddhist teachings from the land of the
Buddha, Nepal. Lotus Academy
at present offers a 10-month Post Graduate
Diploma program on Buddhist studies. It is a basic
course on Buddhism available for a
Bachelor-degree-holding student of any faculty. This
course is intended to be a preparation for entering
higher education like Masters and PhD in the field of
Buddhism.

Lotus Academy will also serve as
an introductory course into the basics of Buddhist
philosophy, art, iconography and some main aspects of
Nepalese Buddhism. Lotus Research Centre has decades of
experience in the field of research and study of
Buddhist art and culture. It has also been developing a
digital archive of Nepalese Buddhism with multimedia
contents. We would like to use our experience in
Lotus Academy by implementing modern methods of
Learning Management System. In the future, we plan
to provide distance learning opportunities of higher
education in Buddhism to the students worldwide.
I firmly believe that LAC will successfully meet the
educational and practical demands of not only the people
of Nepal but also of the world at
